A walk through a beautiful natural park is always a good idea! Hardly anywhere else there is such a picturesque and at the same time diverse nature as in Bulgaria. Perhaps there is some truth in the statement that "Heaven is on Earth", and with this article you will convince yourself that Heaven is on Bulgarian soil...
1. Vitosha Nature Park
The starting point today will be the capital Sofia and more specifically the nature park around the city Vitosha. The nature park includes almost the entire area of Vitosha Mountain. Vitosha is impressive with its natural spruce forests and especially with the stone rivers and screes, which are only part of the protected nature here. It is a curious fact that no other European capital is so close to a mountain. If you are a fan of sports, climbing the peak of Vito - Cherni Vrah is the ideal challenge for you. Otherwise, a walk to the Boyan Waterfall is quite enough to feel the virginity of nature above Sofia!

We are heading to the central part of the country, in the forests of which lies the protected territory of the Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park. Here, in the face of "Vrattsata", the highest limestone cliffs in the Balkans are found. If you are brave, then steep climbing is completely allowed here and guarantees an exciting extreme experience. The natural park is rich in caves – Ledenika, Zmeyova dupka and Barkite 14 are only part of the card file of the caves in the Balkans. The Cherepish Monastery is also located in the area, a favorite place of inspiration for Vazov, which became a frequently mentioned place in his works.

Continuing only straight, we reach the favorite Black Sea. Only 17km from our sea capital, the Golden Sands Nature Park begins. The natural direct connection between sea and deciduous forests along our northern Black Sea coast is more than amazing. This picture is observed in the resort of Golden Sands, where the park is centered. "Aladzha Monastery" is a spiritual center from the 14th century, which amazes with its architecture - the building is carved out of a 40-meter-high limestone rock. High-mountain lakes, meadows, alpine areas are only a part of the diverse landforms of this natural jewel. The Rila Monastery is visited by over a million tourists a year. 5. Blue Stones Nature Park
The blue stones cover the places from the eastern slopes of Stara Planina. The history of this region tells that one of the most ancient tribes on our lands lived here - mainly Thracian-Illyrian. Probably as a result of this, today one of the most charming fortresses, ancient monasteries and roads can be found here. The archaeological reserve "Tuida", which is a Roman fortress from the early centuries, is attractive.
