In 1968 on Cherkovna Street in the town of Radomir a new school was opened on the site of the old high school: Vocational School of Transport with a degree in Auto Engineer and Driver category "C".
The newly established school has a training period of two years and provides qualification to students-car mechanics III-IV grade and drivers III class, who will meet the needs of such personnel in the enterprises of the system of DSO "Autotransport" in Pernik district. The admission of students is determined by an order of the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Education, which should be only from Pernik district with 105 students, including 14 girls. The school has a furnished dormitory with 70 beds, which is located on the 2nd floor of the same building.
By order of the Ministry of Education, Lilyana Todorova Dodeva was appointed Director of the school as of July 1, 1968. On September 25, 1973, she left the position of School Director. During the academic year 1969/1070. the name of our school "Yuri Gagarin" has been approved.
