During the Renaissance, the formation of the Varosha quarter began, where the Bulgarian population was concentrated. Today, this part of the city is known as the old Blagoevgrad. In fact, it is in Varosha that a large part of the sights of the city are located. Here you will find the Church of the Introduction of the Virgin, declared a national cultural monument. Not far from it is the Regional History Museum in the city.
