The horse

Koncheto is a saddle located in Northern Pirin. It is difficult to access and is located at an altitude of 2810 meters. Its length is about 400 meters, and in some places, its width is only 50 cm. A path passes through Koncheto, which leads to the Yavorov, Banderitsa and Vihren huts. Its northeastern cliffs descend towards the Banski Suhodol cirque and represent 400-500 meter walls suitable for mountaineering. The southwestern slopes, also known as Straneto, descend to the valley of the Vlahinska River at a 70° slope.

Baikushevata mura

Baikusheva mura is a specimen of the black mura species. It is named after its discoverer Kostadin Baikushev. It was discovered in 1897, at 1930 meters above sea level. It is located in the Pirin mountain, not far from the Banderitsa hut, near the town Bansko. Its approximate height is about 26 meters. According to experts, the tree is more than 1300 years old. This makes the Baikusheva mura the second oldest tree in Bulgaria, the Granite oak in the village of Granit, Starozagorsko, in first place.

Scoco Falls

It is located in the southern part of Pirin, near a town Sandanski. Its height is about 20 meters. Its raging waters tame for a while as it descends the slopes of the mountain. Very soon, however, in the meadow under Raven Rock, they get stronger and jump straight down into a twenty-meter abyss. For this reason, you can admire not only the view, but also the wonderful song of the waters of waterfall. The roar of the water is loud and can be heard from afar.

    Did you know that... Pirin is the oldest national park in Bulgaria and has been added to the list of UNESCO for the world pnative heritage.

    Melnik pyramids

    The Melnish pyramids are an object of great interest for Bulgarian and foreign tourists. The pyramids impress with their enormous size, steep slopes and wonderful bird's-eye views. It is believed that the Melnik pyramids got their current appearance thanks to the process of erosion. They extend over 50 sq. km. area and are built of rock-sand material. Rock mushrooms, needles, cones and many others are also found in the region rock formations.

    The glorious fortress

    The castle of Despot Alexius Slav, also called Slav's Fortress. Its remains can be seen near the town of Melnik. The fortress played the role of the capital of the despot Slav in the years 1211‑1230. He moved his capital from Tsepina in Melnik in 1211. A church bell with a donation inscription, which is associated with his newborn child, also dates from that time. This is the first monument of its kind in Europe.
