In our "Feel Bulgaria with..." section, we regularly introduce you to our favorite Instagram content creators who share with their audience ideas for walking around beautiful places in Bulgaria. Today we want to introduce you to the charming and creative Victoria Daneva / viktoria_daneva/… Here's what she says about herself and her passion for both travel and beautiful photos…

Hello, my name is Viktoria Daneva and I have a small social media marketing company. The love for my work turned it into a hobby, as I have been running an Instagram blog for 3 years now. In the beginning, I wandered in what niche to distinguish myself in, until I simply realized that I should show what is most interesting to me, namely traveling and getting to know new places and cultures. Since I am "sick" on the topic of planning and organizing vacations, in my studies I notice how there is very little information about many of the places (be it in Bulgaria or abroad). That is why I strive to be as detailed as possible and to answer all questions related to a trip that I ask myself. I would definitely say that in the future I also see myself as the owner of a travel agency haha.

И така, ето през кои местенца на красивата ни родина ще ни разведе Виктория / макар и виртуално 😉 /

1. Belogradchik rocks and Kaleto fortress

What surprised me was their scale – they stretch 30 km in length. Many of them are associated with legends and have names. We were able to distinguish Haidut Velko and the Madonna in the fortress.
?Entrance to it is BGN 6 for adults, and parking is BGN 2.40 for the whole day.
We wanted to combine the walk with another place, so after that we headed to the Borov kamak shrine in the village of Borovitsa. But as we drove, the road suddenly ended and became a grassy area. We left the car, but after 1 minute we realized that it wouldn't be possible on foot either, because a small stream ran through the "road" and it was super muddy. To top it off, we also saw a snake and I fired with 300 in reverse?

?However, here are some places you might see in the area:
– Magurata Cave
– Lepenica Cave
– Lake Rabiško
– Ecopath Zbegove
– White water waterfall

2. Mare walls

It is located 22 km. from Vratsa on the way to Ledenika. It is most convenient to get to Parshevitsa hut, where you can leave your car and from there go up the hill, to the left of the hut. In the beginning, it is a bit steep uphill, but in about 20 minutes you will overcome it and then the path is flat. It's about another 10 minutes of walking along it until you reach the information board and the view opens in front of you, and to the right are the Kobilina Walls themselves.

❗️Keep in mind that it is quite windy and you may need a light outerwear. And sun protection, of course, is a must!

?On that day we also visited the Botunya River Canyon and the Cave with the tree. Since there will hardly be a separate post about the cave - I wouldn't say it's worth it. It's hard to get there with a lot of climbing without any shade, and on the way out we had a terrible experience with a 3m long snake that fell from a tree 5m from us. I had a slight panic attack, although I didn't turn to see her and Mitko didn't tell me what it was until we got off, but I could feel it. Maybe that's why I didn't like the place, but yeah… it wasn't anything impressive, was it?

3. Ecopath and waterfall Under Kamiko

The path is not very well maintained and there are places where you have to go through various bushes, but it is more or less easy to follow according to the green markings. It is not particularly difficult, but there are some small climbs. The end point is the Pod Kamiko waterfall (or Bovski waterfall), which is about 40 m high, and there are quite a few smaller waterfalls all along the river. It took us about 2 hours to go and 30 minutes to come back. The map initially showed the trail to be roughly oval, but we couldn't find the way back and went back the same way.

❗️Keep in mind that the waterfall is not very full of water and disappears in the summer. And if you're lucky like us, you might catch another nearly as tall waterfall to the left of Bovskaya.

?After the walk, we headed to the Peshterata restaurant in Lakatnik on the recommendation of @dianavcenkova . Everything was very tasty, especially the purlinka with cheese and the pork tenderloin with wild mushrooms and mashed potatoes ? The service from the waiters was under all criticism, but the food is worth the wait.

4. Interesting locations around Lukovit

Last weekend we took a day trip to several interesting places around Lukovit. We had already gone to Iskar-Panega Geopark and Prokhodna Cave, but we decided to see them again, this time adding a few other locations.

?The journey is about 1 hour and 30 minutes along my "favorite" highway. This time we decided to stop before the Topli dol tunnel to see the Bebreš bridge from below. It turned out to be much grander than I imagined.

1️⃣The first stop was the Iskar-Panega Geopark. The crossing is easy and takes about an hour in both directions.

2️⃣Then we went to the Golden Park and Lukovit Dam, an interesting place with a hobbit spirit. It's not finished yet, and that might explain why it's so small, because I imagined it to be a lot bigger.

3️⃣Then we went to Prokhodna cave and decided to see the rock church "St. Marina", but somehow we didn't find it?‍♀️ The difference this time was that, in addition to the magnet stalls, there were also caravans with grills, so we took advantage and sat down for a quick bite to eat.

4️⃣Then we headed to the Stone Houses. Quite similar to Golden Park and Hobbit houses. From there you can also see the Provertenika rock formation.

5️⃣We decided not to go, but you can also stop by Besedkata - a place with a panoramic view, from which you can also see Strupanitsa (a collapse of huge rock blocks), as well as the rock church "St. Nicholas".

6️⃣Our last stop, Rock Arch or Dupkata, is located in the opposite direction, on the other side of Lukovit, about 20 km away. in the village of Uglen. Next to it, 200 m away, you can also see Sloncheto - a rock in the shape of an elephant.

?Tip: Do this trip on a Saturday, because the drive home on Sunday on the highway is more than a nightmare, because of the I-don't-know-how-years-old renovation ?
