1. The stone wedding
For millions of years, a wedding continues to take place, very close to a city Kurdzhali - The stone wedding. The rocks here have created formations reminiscent of human figures - a crowd of people. Local legend says that a young man from the nearby village of Zimzelen married a wonderful beauty. Passing by, however, her veil was uncovered, her beauty exposed to the father of the bridegroom, and indecent thoughts passed through his mind. Immediately afterwards, the man was stoned to death, along with the young bride and everyone in the wedding procession, except the groom. The young man, left alone, asked nature to be petrified as well, and left behind a "sea of tears" that can still be seen today in the puddle next to his figure.

2. The Madar horseman
The Madar horseman is one of a kind - the only medieval rock relief in Europe, which automatically places it on the list of UNESCO. The bas-relief was carved on rocks in the village of Madara, Shumensko. One of the widespread legends states that this masterpiece of art is a collective image of the great Bulgarian rulers. Around the attraction there are ancient Greek inscriptions telling about the successes of the Krum, Tervel and Omurtag Khans. To this day, the success of this rock venture remains a mystery given the fact that the rock surface here is particularly sensitive to erosion processes.

3. Stone mushrooms
We return again to Kardzhali, where it seems that nature has handled the rocks in the most tangible way. 19km from the city are located the so-called rock mushrooms. The rock forms are one to one with the mushrooms we know. The various minerals that make up the rocks have colored their stumps pink and their caps green. Like most rock formations, Stone Mushrooms were formed as a result of volcanic activity.
