1. The hospitality of the owners
After we left from Sofia at noon, we stopped at several places before the first planned city where we had to spend the night - namely Shumen. We had previously chosen Bulgarka guest house, a base to explore a lot, a lot - in fact, we like such places - not very commercial, with its own spirit, its own energy... That's how we felt about the house, however, after arriving in Shumen at 7:30 in the evening and we had to urgently charge the electric car, we were almost sure that we would not be able to check in until 8 o'clock, which was announced as the check-in deadline... We arrived literally at the last moment, but we were greeted with a smile, a unique homemade brandy and piece of cake… Even though the chef had already left, we were treated personally by the hostess of the house – another lovely gesture… This attitude is not often found these days, that's why it's so appreciated, that's why we put hospitality first, because these days, this behavior is rare…

2. The unique style and furnishings of the houses
We were amazed by the interior and exterior, by all the thought and effort to preserve and renovate the old instead of demolishing and building anew... The effort is great, but the effect and charm are unsurpassed... Wood, stone, plants and nature intertwine in a unique collaboration for to create a wonderful feeling of cleanliness, coziness and warmth. Each room is different, each room has something to tell... We were able to explore very little, but we will be back soon to fully immerse ourselves in the spirit of this unique place...
3. The restaurant and the food
We're just speechless - we couldn't see the chef, but we'll tell you in secret that before he settled in Dibić, this fakir worked for Michelin-starred restaurants and cruises... Well, you say, and what did this guy do a chef in Bulgaria then... We'll keep that a secret - the story is unique and personal, and we're lucky to be a part of it... We'll tell you that the fried sandwiches for breakfast are a work of art, the foie gras pate is phenomenal, and the apricot brandy, ehhhh… Everything you will be served is 100% BIO, home made or bought from local suppliers… The owners have their own farm where everything is grown with lots of love and care. Honestly, we can't put into words what it's all about… you have to see it, taste it, feel it…
4. The yard, the jacuzzi and everything around…
The yard of the house is huge, filled with many extras, corners, grapes, tables... Just a perfect place to relax, especially if you are with children... There is billiards, table tennis, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sunbeds... The owners are constantly working - it shows... Everything is in the process of being worked on, built and perfected... To us, everything seemed to be more than perfect and nothing needs to be touched yet, but according to the owners there is always something to improve and upgrade... The pursuit of improvements and upgrading , apparently it is innate to them…
We can write a lot more, but everything we say will be little... It is better to visit this unique place yourself, and feel for yourself the energy it will provide you - we personally did not feel like leaving and we will come back again soon...
