№ 1

The old mill

The wooden windmill of Nessebar is one of the most emblematic places in the entire city and is also a symbol of Nessebar. The mill was built when Bulgaria was under Ottoman rule and has been perfectly preserved from then to the present day. The interesting wooden structure has 3 floors. The second floor was a living area and the third and last floor was used as a workplace. This is one of the favorite places for locals and tourists alike to spend the afternoon and watch the sunset as the sea view is indescribable and the old wooden windmill just adds to the breathtaking view.

Old Town

The old town of Nessebar is a part of the small town that is connected to the main part by an isthmus (a narrow piece of land connecting two larger areas) and this is the main reason for tourists' interest in the town. The old town of Nessebar is part of the list of UNESCO for world heritage, and also part of the 100 tourist sites in Bulgaria. As you enter the old town, you will be able to see more than 23 churches – some of which come from ancient times, but are very well preserved. You will also be able to see how Bulgarians lived during the Renaissance period, as some streets are exactly as they were a few hundred years ago.
