In our section "Feel Bulgaria with…" we introduce you to beautiful places in Bulgaria that are definitely worth visiting, as the stories and photos we share are entirely inspired by our favorite profiles on social networks. Today we introduce you to Silvia Stoyanova - a radiant girl who is an amazing model and visual storyteller 😉 Here is what she shares about herself…

I was passionate about photography from 5th to 6th grade when I won a camera (from the ones with the tapes) from a children's magazine and at that moment I was not tired of this hobby. 📸 For me, photos are what help you go back and experience moments and emotions when only memories and thoughts about the past are no longer enough.😊 After we went on trips to several different countries and saw the way in which different sights are maintained and visited, I realized how here in Bulgaria, we take for granted many of our beautiful places - natural and cultural landmarks. Maybe because they are close to us, we know that we can always visit them and yet not many of us do. This is the reason why I am now trying to see, photograph, show at every opportunity familiar, not so familiar, different places in our country, which, in my opinion, deserve attention.😊

So, together with Sylvia we have selected some extremely interesting places that we will walk you virtually. Here they are:

№ 1

The canyon of the river Botunya near Varshets

СоSopovo area and the canyon of the river Botunya - one of the most beautiful and picturesque places I have seen 🇧🇬 It is located very close to Varshets and not far from Vratsa (about 25 km). In Google, the place is marked correctly as a location, on the side of the road there is also a place to leave your car. We weren't sure if we were going in the right direction, but we were guided by the sound of the river. 🏞️ After passing all the grass and bushes, we reached the river and were amazed by the beautiful views. ♥ ️ The place certainly exceeded my expectations. ️ ️

№ 2
Fortress Sister

is an ancient Roman fortress, part of whose remains can be seen nearby Trojan 🇧🇬 The fortress was active until the 5th century, when it was finally destroyed by the Huns. The survey and restoration of Sostra was carried out in the period 2002 – 2011. ℹ️ The place is located just off the road, it looks interesting, but we were not able to see everything because, unfortunately, it is unmaintained and in tall grass. There was also a ticket booth maybe, but it was closed. 🏷️

№ 3
Burgas salt shakers

This is an "outdoor spa" ⭐ The salt pans and the beach near them can be reached by car, as well as on a separate alley for pedestrians and cyclists, starting from the city beach ℹ️ The entrance for the salt pans and mud is 2 BGN per man.🏷️ I dived into the larger salt pool, as there were a lot of people in the smaller one, the feeling was quite strange at first, but you get used to it 🙈

№ 4

Shy Waterfall

The path to it starts from the bungalows Kamena, Kamena village and the walk to the waterfall is about 30-40 minutes of climbing mainly. stairs to facilitate visitors. "Unfortunately, when we visited the waterfall, the site in front of it had collapsed, but there are enough places where you can sit and admire the Shy One."

№ 5

Khan-Krumski Rock Monastery

The Han-Krum rock monastery is much more easily accessible than the Kiliyata rock church, as there is no such steep ascent and descent to it. ℹ️ The halls themselves are entered by narrow stairs carved into the rock, next to which there is an iron rope. It is good to be very careful and not suitable for a visit if it has rained soon, in my opinion. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️You can reach the Shumen plateau (as we did) or climb from the village of Khan Krum, as the second option is probably much shorter. ⏳ And the view from the monastery is 🔝🔝🔝
