As you may have heard, the profession of miners is as interesting as it is dangerous. It is no coincidence that miners retire the earliest of all. The museum in Pernik is the only one of its kind on the entire Balkan Peninsula. The place where it is located was an active brown coal mine. At the beginning of the underground museum, you will be greeted by a petrified "tree of happiness", a the legends they claim that whoever touches it will be blessed with eternal good fortune. Here you will not only see exhibits related to mining, but you will also be able to touch a variety of cutting tools. Dress well because the temperatures are quite cold down here underground!

3. Salt Museum, Pomorie
This is the only museum dedicated to salt mining in all of Eastern Europe. The open-air museum offers to see working salt pans. What is even more interesting is that the ancient mechanism is used for the extraction of salt here - the salt is extracted by solar evaporation of sea water. Technological operations are interesting and different in their own right, and will certainly be of interest when you get here, even if it doesn't seem like it now. In addition, the salt museum provides a meeting with master solar workers. From these people you will learn a lot about the craft, even the way it is passed down from father to son.

4. Museum with the gifts of Todor Zhivkov, Pravets
As many of you know, Pravets is the hometown of the leader of the communist party in our country in the last century - Todor Zhivkov. The museum in question is quite unusual because it stores a large part of the gifts that Zhivkov received from his colleagues who held leading roles in world politics. Among the valuables are gold and silver trays, tapestries, souvenir tables and more. His native house is also located in the city, where some of the most famous personalities of that time were guests.
5. Museum of wax figures, Veliko Tarnovo
Nestled in the heart of Tsarevets hill is the museum, which traces the most glorious times in the period of Bulgarian history. And it tracks them not in any way, but through wax sculptors and figures. The life of people from different strata of the former Bulgarian society is recreated - from peasants and craftsmen to clergy and rulers. The rulers of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom will be in front of your eyes, almost like real ones.
