The festival in Dorkovo is held every year in the last week of July. Giving a scene to a lot Bulgarian and international formations for authentic folklore, the event is eagerly awaited by lovers of folk music and dance. The main goal of the event is to preserve the traditions and to promote the Bulgarian one folklore and folk art.
Traditionally the festival starts on the last Friday of July with a parade of all participants and performances of famous Bulgarian artists. This year, at the opening of the festival on Friday /20.07.2021/ for the guests of Dorkovo will sing the famous Bulgarian folk singer Nikolay Slaveev.

Except for folklore performances, guests of Dorkovo during this time of year can enjoy numerous attractions, swings for the little ones and grills with hot appetizers and cold beer for the older ones.
