A symbol of the city, the tower is also a kind of architectural monument. It is located on the northwestern slope of the hill Bardo, near Rakitovo. The tower consists of two parts with stone masonry, with a height of 18.60 meters and a wall thickness of 80 cm. The wooden belts are placed one meter apart. The shape is octagonal, the roof is conical, covered with sheet metal. The watch has two dials with Roman numerals. The internal staircase was replaced in 1960.

The construction itself is financed by two locals. Above her door was a stone slab with an inscription in Old Turkish. The text of the tablet said that in order to guide the time for the population, the construction of a clock with many angles was started. The builder of the tower was called Malik леelebi and he built the clock in 1872. Thus the wish of the donors was fulfilled. Today the Clock Tower in Rakitovo is a historical cultural monument of national importance. Next to the clock tower is located Bardoland Park“, As the two locations together turn into a great idea for a walk in the Rhodopes.
