There is no corner in Bulgaria that is not talked about as bringing some energy, as having something extraordinary, but which are the most eerie and mystical such places in our country? Shishentsi village
The most north-western village in our country is connected to one of the most sinister places in the world. The small number of people who live here say that every night they hear strange sounds resembling choir laughter, wedding songs and noise. The legend, which is still passed down by word of mouth in Shishentsi, tells that decades ago wedding guests were killed on these lands and not buried. Locals accept that the spirits the dead are not given rest to this day.
Today, people here do not leave their homes after sunset because five men have disappeared in recent years and two others have returned with their memories erased. The inhabitants of the village believe that the seven people in question were victims of the wild ones, whose voices and cries carry the night air. The legends here they come to life, although it is not yet clear what paranormal phenomenon it is. Scientists are looking for an explanation of the mystery, but one has not yet been found. Until then, the inexplicable wedding spirit continues to roam around once it falls the darkness.
The secret tunnels
The tunnels in question were discovered by Associate Professor Angel Kanchev. For them, it is believed that the most southern and most northern point of Bulgaria, are connected through this series of tunnels. The labyrinths they extend under the largest cities in Bulgaria, such as Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Sliven and others. There is a theory that the purpose of these tunnels was strategic and at one time our ancestors and glorious kings used them to cross to other countries. Researchers have tried to examine them, but no one has since returned. The mysterious ones roads imply a lot. Who built them, what they were used for over the centuries and what is in them are unanswered questions, but the idea that there are underground roads in our country is frightening.
Belintash
The unique rock is a place visited by thousands of tourists annually, because the sacrament, which he brings with him. This is one of the the most mystical places in The Rhodopes, about which there are myths and legends, telling about suicides and people struck by lightning. The rock surface is so carved that it resembles strange guardian-like faces. The Rocky Plateau in the Eastern Rhodopes is not only a place where time has stopped, but also a place that takes your breath away. The stories surrounding the mystical place, with a unique panorama today, are really many. Was it inhabited by supernatural beings, gods or personalities like Alexander of Macedon, remains unclear, but the setting is somehow peculiar and rather mysterious…
