Ancient Roman city of Nicopolis ad Nestum<\/h4>\n<p>Nicopolis ad Nestum is one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Bulgaria, which carries a rich history and cultural heritage. Located near the city of Garmen, this ancient Roman city was founded in 45 BC. by the Roman general Marcus Lucius Cravus. Nicopolis ad Nestum unfolded on the banks of the river Nestos, which served as an important trade route between the Roman Empire and the East.
