Natural Paradise in the Rhodope Mountains: Bachkovo Waterfall!<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"49\" data-end=\"192\">Did you know that just a short distance from the famous Bachkovo Monastery lies a natural gem? I&#039;m talking about the majestic Bachkovo Waterfall!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"194\" data-end=\"675\"><strong>Legend and History<\/strong><br data-start=\"211\" data-end=\"214\" \/>Although less well known than the monastery, the waterfall has its own charm. Its name comes from its proximity to the village of Bachkovo. It is believed that the area has been an important place since the Middle Ages. The waterfall is formed by a karst fault and is about 10 meters high! It is part of a beautiful karst region and is associated with local legends about the rock bridges that are located nearby. It takes about 20 minutes to walk one way, making it perfect for a short family walk!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"938\" data-end=\"1185\">\n<p data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"1185\"><strong>Advice from us:<\/strong> Unfortunately, during our visit the waterfall was quite dry and we were unable to enjoy its full, lush beauty. Plan your visit in the spring or after heavy rainfall to see it in all its glory!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1386\">\n<p data-start=\"1188\" data-end=\"1386\"><strong>Picnic and Recreation:<\/strong> There are great picnic spots around the waterfall. Take a basket of goodies and enjoy the coolness and sounds of nature. It&#039;s perfect for a romantic date or fun with the kids!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1387\" data-end=\"1559\">\n<p data-start=\"1389\" data-end=\"1559\"><strong>Stay:<\/strong> Near the waterfall and in the village of Bachkovo itself, you can find guest houses and hotels where you can stay and fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Rhodope Mountains.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1561\" data-end=\"1683\">Treat yourself to a day in nature, away from the city noise. The Devil&#039;s Path<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"857\"><strong>Part 1: The adventure begins!<\/strong><br data-start=\"30\" data-end=\"33\" \/>Are you ready for a true Rhodope experience? The Devil&#039;s Trail awaits you with views and emotions that are difficult to describe. To make everything go smoothly and without unnecessary waste of time, there is one &quot;golden&quot; piece of advice: leave your car at the entrance to the village of Borino. The parking lot is free and large enough. There you will be met by locals who can guide you. From there, for 10 leva per person, they take you to the other end of the trail towards Teshel and Buynovska River to walk back to your car. This way you don&#039;t have to go back the same way and waste more hours. In addition, this option is more pleasant because you start from the lower one and climb the bridges instead of going down them. The &quot;small circle&quot; is about 4 hours with breaks and photos. And as scary as it sounds, the place is a real treasure. There are no markings in some places, but there\u2019s almost no way to get lost \u2013 the trail runs right alongside the river. You\u2019ll see it now on the left, now on the right \u2013 as long as the river is in front of you, you\u2019re on the right path. Keep in mind something important: there are sections without railings (in places they\u2019ve been replaced with ropes), and other railings may be wobbly or have gaps \u2013 crossing is possible, but requires attention. One of the most impressive places is the Devil\u2019s Bridge \u2013 you can cross it in two ways: from below on the bridge over the water or from above on dry land. From below it\u2019s a bit more extreme, but also much more beautiful.
